As a watch enthusiast, our founder(J.Youn) has never been satisfied with existing ways of storing watches.
When he couldn’t find the right product to keep his timepieces in a simpler and safer way, he had to come up with an idea for creating it, and that’s the beginning of the Aubliq watch stand.
It started with the idea that we should pay attention to our daily watch. We believe that the watch we wear on the wrist every day has its own value and story beyond price, just as rare and collectible watches do. The watch on your wrist deserves better.
A watch displayed in a boutique is beautiful, but we believe that it shines the most every time you wear it on your wrist.
On the contrary, the watch, unstrapped from the wrist and carelessly placed on a desk, could look somehow less attractive, less important. We therefore needed a new design to keep watches safe and make them look as good as they are on the wrist.
From sketching throughout the entire design process, we were passionate about setting high standards to make our product as a better choice than others in the market.
Since its launch in November 2020, Aubliq’s first watch stand has been loved by watch enthusiasts in Korea. Reviews from our customers say that they’re pleased with its flawless finish, simple, elegant shape that emphasizes the beauty of a watch, and convenient way of keeping their timepieces on show.
In December 2020, we received a collaboration offer from Grand Seiko Korea, and created the limited watch stand designed based on the brand color of Grand Seiko, a luxury watch manufacture standing for high-end technology and craftsmanship.
In December 2023, another collaboration with SWATCH GROUP Korea. Custom colored watch stand for their official retail brand Boutique ‘Hour Passion’ which features Swatch Group brands including Longines, Rado, Tissot, Mido, Hamilton etc.
We could take an easy way to lower the production costs; considering labor costs, we could send our manufacturing jobs overseas. We, however, do value quality over cost and that’s why we proudly make our products in Seoul, Korea, where excellent craftsmanship, combined with time-honored traditions and cutting-edge technology, keeps alive. Offering a great concentration of art, culture, and innovation, this city enables us to meet what we consider “quality” indeed.
